paul smith outlet Tod's embraces the fur trend for fall - PurseBlog

I know that many of our readers are categorically opposed to fur, but the material is so trendy for fall that we wouldn’t be doing our jobs correctly if we ignored it. Most stores only have early pre-orders available for their cold-weather collections, and already fur bags from major designers are starting to show up here and there.

Of the options I’ve seen so far, the Tod’s D-Styling Bauletto Medio Bag is easily my favorite. Instead of taking on the bushy, overly plush look that befalls so many fur designs, the laser-cut fox has a finish that’s both luxurious and visually interesting. This bag is one of very few that I’ve seen where the use of the fur actually adds something to the bag’s aesthetic paul smith outlet.

Depending on your feelings on fur, this bag is either a smart take on a big trend or an overpriced, dubiously ethical fluff ball. Principally, however, my job is to decide whether I think it’s a nice looking bag, and I think that it is. I don’ paul smith outlet;t understand why it wouldn’ paul smith outlet;t be just as nice looking in faux fur, though paul smith outlet.

paul smith handbags Leopard print is the new big thing in bags - PurseBlog

Animal print is one of the subjects that divides our readers the most – some people think it’s fun and glamorous, others think it’s cheap and tacky. I for one am in the first group, so much so that I wore floor-length leopard print to a wedding this weekend. That’s hardly the only example of the pattern that I have in my closet, and I find that adding it to almost any outfit garners lots of compliments (and probably a few unimpressed glances paul smith handbags, but luckily, those people usually keep their opinions to themselves).

Despite my love for leopard I don’t have a bag in the pattern, but it looks like there are more than a couple of designers that are trying to fill that wardrobe gap for me. We’ve covered similar bags from and before, but since more designers than I can count on one hand have debuted leopard looks recently, I think it’s time to officially call it a trend and discuss a few of my favorite examples.

Dolce & Gabbana Miss Sicily Satchel

There can be no discussions of leopard print accessories without starting with Dolce & Gabbana. They use the print nearly every season in one way or another, whether or not it’s fashionable at the moment, and they probably deserve a good bit of the credit for inspiring the trend that we’re seeing now. This bag is quintessential Dolce – paul smith handbags; attention-grabbing, luxurious and unmistakably sexy.

Lanvin Mini Pop Leopard Print Bag

Lanvin’s approach to leopard is a bit more subtle and ladylike, as is appropriate for the staid French house. If you’re looking to add just a touch of print to your wardrobe, something like this bag is perfect – it won’t overtake your outfit and can be used day and night for maximum versatility.

Jimmy Choo Daphne Clutch

Alternately, if you’re looking for purely an evening bag paul smith handbags, has you covered. I personally prefer the yellow version of this clutch, but for the purposes of this post, the orange has more leopard print. I particularly like the way that neon and leopard print look together paul smith handbags, but for most people, that combination might be a tad much.

Valentino Spotted Haircalf Tote

If you want to go as classy as possible while still buying in to a slightly wild trend, this bag is the way that you want to go. It’s very structured and bold while still managing to keep things a bit elegant, and that can be hard to do in the face of animal print. Also, if you thought that leopard was purely a trend for the very young, this bag might convince you otherwise – a woman of any age could carry it.

Yves Saint Laurent Leopard Print Roady Hobo

Of all of the available options, this hobo is my favorite. It’s slouchy and casual, but the haircalf pattern is so rich that it doesn’t skew too far toward the jeans-and-tees crowd. I could easily see this bag dressed up or down.

paul smith wallets Linea Pelle Janis Fringe Tote - PurseBlog

I’ve resisted the fringe trend for quite a while now. I’ve posted a few examples of fringe bags that I like on over the past few months, but I wasn’t ready to come out and love the trend as a whole. I thought it was messy. I thought it was floppy paul smith wallets. I thought it was a little too hippie-dippy for my personal taste. But then I saw and my mind changed. Pretty much instantly.

And since then, I’ve decided that the fringe bag I’m mostly likely to invest in is the Linea Pelle Janis Fringe Tote. Unlike the rest of the Purse Blog crew, I’m not lucky enough to already have a fab bag, but from what they’ve said, I know the leather on this one is going to be soft and wonderful and the bag will most likely be one I’ll find myself reaching for again and again. I think I like this bag above all other fringe bags because it’ paul smith holdall bags;s so well-edited and comparatively understated. The fringe isn’t hanging from every last surface, it’s concentrated in the corners and a bit less cowgirl than carrying something covered in hanging bits of leather. Yes paul smith holdall, ladies, I think this is the one for me.

It’s the lead shot for the , something that may interest you in and of itself, but I’m more distracted by the picture. Not only is the model’s dress adorable, but she’s got an enormous to climb into, and who could really ask for anything more than that paul smith wallets? outlet paul smith holdall Paul Smith Gentleman Designer

Paul Smith: Gentleman Designer (2011) is, much like the clothing offered up by this iconic British label, a bit on the flashy side. This 55-minute TV documentary by Stéphane Carroll - which follows Smith himself as he goes about the everyday business as head of his trendy design house - is over before you know it, giving the viewer little or no time to discover what really makes the man tick. Yet Smith's secret is in the detail, a point made by a number of his customers at the opening of the film. Smith himself emphasises this when he explains that this was one of his earliest design innovations outlet paul smith holdall, the inspiration for which came through necessity.
Divided into three distinct parts, the film chronicles the designer's work life, from team brainstorming at his London headquarters, to casting the models for his latest collection in Paris and visiting the company's newest flagship store in Tokyo. The film is most interesting when it shows Smith and his designers during the originating a new collection (in this case for the Winter 2011 season), or when it follows him as he mooches round the clothing markets of Portobello Road on a Friday morning picking up various vintage pieces for inspiration.
In The September Issue (2009), R. J. Cutler's much more insightful look at the fashion business, Grace Coddington, the flame-haired Creative Director of American Vogue, says that she always keeps her eyes open gathering inspiration from whatever she sees around her. Smith claims the same. However as anyone with even the slight interest in fashion can tell you there is very little original in the world of clothing design, with much of what you see on the designer catwalks gleaned and picked up from history - a tactic Smith subtly, yet clearly uses to his own lucrative ends Paul Smith Handbags UK.
At one point in Gentleman Designer, American Vogue's Hamish Bowles likens Smith's intrinsic Britishness to Ralph Lauren, another historical style magpie, and his influence on American culture. Which emphasises, as this ultimately disappointing film does, that there really is nothing new under the sun, particularly in the world of high fashion buy Paul Smith Handbags.
